About Us

J & A brings together the wealth of experience of Directors John Greene and Alan Jones, both well known and respected in the Manchester insurance market for 30 years. The two are joined by Peter Barrett who brings a similar and complementary length and depth of experience and knowledge to the company.

All three individuals have enjoyed working for national brokers and insurers in the past, giving them the confidence to work with clients both large and small and providing them with the added benefit of one-to-one attention and great service. We believe that claims are both 'judge and jury' and provide our clients with expert and quality assistance in this area.

c.30 years as an experienced and qualified Insurance Broker in addition to significant management/FSA Compliance duties undertaken as well over the past 10 years.   Hobbies include most sports but mainly football, golf & snooker.

Director

An ACII Chartered Insurance Broker with over 40 years experience working in the industry for both Insurers and Brokers in Ireland London, Birmingham & Manchester.   Experienced in all classes of ‘general’ insurance.   Enjoys learning foreign languages and travel.

Peter Barrett

Senior Account Executive

40 years insurance broking experience in London & Manchester.   USP – personal service and claims handling rarely given by many competitors.   Hobbies include THFC, martial arts, networking and Sudoko puzzles.

Joined us in March 2011 as part of our continued growth plan.   With over 25 years experience Gary offers a personal and professional service to a range of businesses from the local tradesman to those in the Waste/Environmental /Recycling Industries.   Enjoys watching football, rugby and Coaches the Javelin at Warrington Athletic Club.

c.19 years in insurance broking specialising in ‘personal lines’ (e.g. motor, household, travel), commercial insurance and running our accounts dept.   Hobbies include Zumba.

Ian Hope

With over 20 years experience (with both insurers and brokers), Ian joined us on 1st November 2010 to provide a first class personal service in all areas of commercial insurance and personal lines, to back up senior members of staff and knowledge of on-line trading facilities.   Enjoys most sports including gym and travelling.

JEAN CHEAVIN
Claims & Administration

Has been employed in the insurance sector as an Office Administrator for the past 12 years  -  including for last 3 Claims Handling to provide efficient claims handling for our clients supporting our high priority of service. Jean enjoys family history research, reading and stunt kite flying.
